Key Worker Letters for BIVDA Membership

13 Jan, 2021 | Return|

As key worker status has been applied to essential members of BIVDA member company staff again this lockdown, please see below a set of 3 letters from BIVDA for you to supply if helpful together with any correspondence of your own to your key worker employees.

Schooling: This letter will support their notification to their child's school that they need to be kept at school. Some schools are querying critical workers not being the same as key workers, this is not the case and it is clearly stated on the gov.uk website. Please note however in Scotland the key worker designation is again separated into levels of importance and currently this would not allow industry key workers’ children to stay at school. We are working to change this.

Travel:

There are two letters, one for staff travelling to NHS sites to work and one for essential staff travelling to their places of work. Again, it might be helpful if you also supply correspondence from your own organisation.

Hotel accommodation is being kept open for key workers who need to stay away from home.
