DHSC update on freight contingency solutions post-transition period

The Department of Health and Social Care has reminded companies to register for Government freight contingency solutions which have been put in place to support industry post-Transition Period. Please see further information below:

Government Secured Freight Capacity

From 31 December 2020, Brittany Ferries, DFDS, P&O and Stena will be ready to deliver capacity on up to 9 routes, operating from 8 potential ports in England, equivalent to over 3,000 HGV's per week.

As a category 1 goods supplier, we strongly encourage you to register to use this capacity as early as possible. Details on how to register are below:

1.

Please follow this link to register for the GSFC: https://ship.mixmove.io/customForm/DHSCSupplierRegistration. If you previously registered for the GSFC you can use the link here to verify and update all stored information. If you need to request a new password, please email support@mixmove.io. Please note that supplier access codes from registrations made previously as part of no-deal Brexit planning are invalid, so you will need to re-register.

2.

Within three days of completing registration, you will receive a unique supplier access code.

3.

Please pass this unique code onto your logistics provider along with the attached GSFC Handbook.

4.

Your logistics provider will need to set themselves up on the DfT's ticket purchasing system, using the unique supplier code you received.

5.

Full details of sailing schedules, crossing times, commencement dates and prices will be released w/c 16th November, prior to the sale of tickets from w/c 23rd November.

6.

Tickets will be released in phased batches thereafter.

Express Freight Service

The Department of Health and Social Care has also retained its Express Freight Service (EFS) arrangements with 3 specialist logistics providers to support the urgent movement of medicines and medical products to care providers and patients if other measures experience difficulties.

We encourage you to register to avoid a delay in accessing this service, should it be required after the end of the transition period. Details on how to register are below:

1.

Please follow this link to register for the EFS: https://ship.mixmove.io/customForm/DHSCSupplierRegistration.

2.

Within three days of completing registration, you will receive a unique supplier access code.

3.

Suppliers requiring emergency shipments, and/or those that are disrupted will access the EFS through the National Supply Disruption Response (NSDR) service. Details on how to contact the NSDR will be made available closer to the end of the transition period.

If you previously registered for the EFS, your unique supplier access code is still valid. Please visit the EFS registration link here to verify and update all stored information. If you need to request a new password, please email support@mixmove.io.
