IVD Laboratory Market remains firm in 2016

Revenues generated from IVD sales in the UK grew ahead of inflation in 2016, although positive growth in some sectors was partially offset by declines in others. 32 companies provided data which was used to generate the report, representing over 95% of the market1 The UK data will be integrated with that from 27 other countries to inform the MTE* Global Diagnostic Manufacturer’s Survey report which will be published later in 2017.

Details of the UK IVD market dynamics can be found in the BIVDA IVD Market Audit results for 2016 which have just been released. If your company participates in this programme (which is free to BIVDA members) you should have received your data by now, and you will be able to see the detail of revenues by market sector and by analyte for the year, plus your company share, competitive ranking and trends. The Market Dynamics Working Party will meet on 26th May to consider the report and provide analysis and insights into trends for participating companies. Members of all participating companies are very welcome to attend. If you have any questions or queries about the Market Audit, would like to sign up for it, or to attend the meeting if you already participate, please contact
