BIVDA's response to the 2019 General Election result

BIVDA's response to the 2019 General Election result

London - Friday 13 December 2019

Commenting on the result of the General Election, BIVDA’s Chief Executive Doris-Ann Williams MBE said:

BIVDA congratulates the Prime Minister on his return to office and welcomes the increased certainty for business that the General Election result brings.”

With less than two months to go until we reach the Brexit deadline on 31 January 2020, we hope that the new Government is continuing to work towards creating a policy and regulatory environment that recognises the vital contributions of the UK life sciences sector to our economy, so that our NHS and patients across the country can continue to benefit from the value of in vitro diagnostics.”

We look forward to working with the Government as it seeks to strengthen the NHS, with commitments to boost and improve early diagnosis.
