BIVDA Board elects Darren Stenlake as Chair

Darren Stenlake (Sysmex UK Ltd), has been elected as Chairman of the BIVDA Board effective March 14, 2019, for a three-year term. The position, held by Simon Richards (Abbott Rapid Diagnostics) during 2016-19, will continue to represent BIVDA’s mission and vision to all stakeholders.

Doris-Ann Williams, Chief Executive of BIVDA said: “We are delighted to welcome Darren Stenlake as our new Chair. Darren’s insight as well as vast knowledge of diagnostics and the sector’s landscape will both maximise value for our membership and provide guidance for BIVDA’s strategy over the next three years.”

Darren Stenlake said: “I look forward to building on the excellent work achieved by Simon and the Board and to continue raising awareness of this incredibly innovative sector and the key role it serves in influencing and improving health outcomes. The diagnostics sector is going through a phase of unprecedented change, supporting and guiding our members through this change continues to be a key focal area for BIVDA.”

In addition to Darren fulfilling the Board Chair position, Richard Hames (Werfen Ltd) has been elected as member of the Board through to 2022. Jag Grewal (Omega Diagnostics Group plc) and Chris Hudson (Roche Diagnostics) have also been re-elected to the BIVDA Board.
