BIVDA response to Parliament’s vote on the Brexit deal

Today, the House of Commons voted down the EU withdrawal agreement.

Doris-Ann Williams, BIVDA’s Chief Executive, commented: “The prospect of a no-deal Brexit is of great concern to the IVD industry. We continue to call for Government and Parliament to ensure that considerations take into account the ever more urgent need for clarity and stability. Just days before 29 March, it is crucial that positive steps are taken to ensure that our sector is able to plan and adjust in a smooth and orderly way to new, future arrangements for the benefit of the economy, the NHS and UK patients.”
