UN International Day of Women and Girls in Science

February 11 marks the fourth UN International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which aims to “achieve full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, and further achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls1”.

In celebrating International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Doris-Ann Williams, BIVDA’s Chief Executive, said: “Today is International Day of Women and Girls in Science. I am delighted to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of women in science and add my voice to inspire the next generation of healthcare scientists. Together, we can empower and inspire future generations: be brave and believe in yourself!”.
