Interim Chief Operations Officer
After 37 (mostly enjoyable) years spent in the clinical diagnostic industry in a variety of roles within the sales and marketing organisations of five companies, I now concentrate on the BIVDA Market Audit (chairing the Market Dynamics Working Party), link with the EDMA Market Research Committee and try to use these data and others to promote the role of IVDs within healthcare in the UK. I currently sit on the NICE Diagnostic Advisory Committee and am a Public Governor for the Royal Berkshire Hospital as well as my BIVDA activities and some independent work and writing.
When I was principal contact for BIVDA within bioMérieux UK Ltd. I tried to ensure that all relevant managers were kept informed of activities, and encouraged active participation in working groups. I have been active within the P&PR group myself, and am also keenly interested in the developments within NHS purchasing.

Rachel brings to BIVDA an extensive experience and knowledge of SMEs across the commercial, retail and consultancy sectors. She is innovative and supports Doris-Ann with broad technical knowledge and an understanding of commercial decision-making, and has developed her original role of Office Manager to the senior Operations Manager where member relations and association operations will be her focus.

“I am very excited to be furthering my career with BIVDA. Already in my first couple of weeks I have attended various working parties, meetings and visited Parliament. It has been very insightful in showing the scope of work that BIVDA does. There is a lot for me to get stuck in to, and I can’t wait to add my contribution to this fantastic organisation."
Jeanette joined BIVDA in October 2017 as an Administrator / Receptionist and she comes to us with a very strong reception background having worked in diverse industries across London. Jeanette has a happy can do attitude and brightens up our reception.
